JUGULAR

Slit Jugular Productions pending and LLC is a company to be formed to finance and arrange for the ongoing production and commercial exploitation of motion pictures in the genre of Horror. The estimated budget of this film will be $50,000 US Dollars. In these times of escalating film budgets and reduced shelf and theater space for feature films, a new business model must be created and executed. In the current world film market the most reliably profitable film projects are those with budgets under $100,000 or well over $10,000,000 US Dollars. The larger films have the vast financial resources and studio relationships to ensure a profitable return, and the smaller films have massive profit margins due to the low cost of creating them. The proposed film, JUGULAR, will take six months from concept to finished product, with an additional two to four months before revenue begins to flow from the project. Slit Jugular has put together a professional production team and has key relationships with filmmakers and talent.

Film Fund: Estimated $50,000 US Dollars

Minimum Investment Sought once an LLC is formed: $5,000

INVESTMENT AND PROFITS

Through the exploitation of the Film, it is the objective of the Company that the Investment will realize:

1. Investors will receive 100% of all revenues achieved by the film until such time as the Investors have realized 100% return on investment.

2. Upon realization of the 100% ROI all further revenues will be divided evenly between the Investors and the Production Company evenly of all revenues in perpetuity.

Net revenues are expected to be roughly $60,000 according to the conservative minimums. Each title is expected to move a “conservative” minimum 10,000 units within a 1 – 3 year period, with target sales being closer to 20,000 units. Most sales will occur within the first year, with sales gradually shrinking over time.

DVD and Blu-Ray sales: Average net profit is roughly $6.00 per unit, with a slight variation within $0.50 to $1.00 depending on where the film is sold (i.e. online retail or offline direct to consumer).

International sales: Net revenue estimates for the film is roughly $50,000 to $100,000 depending on conditions of the market on a quarter to quarter basis and current world events and economic conditions. Revenues are expected to be on the high end of the projection due to the recognizable genre elements, high production values, and intense horror action present within the film.

Broadcast sales: Net revenues for Free TV, Pay TV, and Pay-Per-View are expected to be in the range of $10,000 to $50,000. However, it should be noted that these deals are often difficult to achieve for independent films, though because these projects will have high values for “genre” films, the chances are dramatically better than the average independent film.

Video-on-Demand sales: Net revenues for VOD, streaming mobile, kiosk sales, and download-to-own is estimated at roughly $30,000 to $50,000. This will be achieved mostly through strong placement with global VOD companies like iTunes, CinemaNow, Movielink, and others, in addition to cable VOD providers such as Warner VOD and Comcast.

These numbers do not include the revenue boost that will occur in the DVD and VOD mediums should a film project become a “hot item” due to celebrity attachments, positive shifts in the fanbase, or a particularly successful marketing campaign.

Horror

On her eighteenth birthday Brandy and her friends celebrate at an abandoned warehouse until Brandy’s long lost serial killer brother decides to crash the party.

Frank, orphaned when he was ten, has spent the last fifteen years hunting human prey at carnivals and concerts where he can blend in wearing his dead step-father’s retro 80s rocker clothes. He has worn the same clothes since the day he saw his step-father kill his mother and then kill himself. When Frank’s younger sister Brandy and several of her friends party at an abandoned warehouse, Frank decides it’s time for a little family reunion. As copious amounts of drugs and alcohol take hold of Brandy and her party guest’s minds, Frank begins his killing spree until it’s just he and his little sister together again.

It’s going to be one killer reunion.
