Hello and good day,
March 31, 2005
Everyday we are subjected to the
influence our media has upon on us, our families, friends, and
children. The constant themes of sex, violence, and corruption that movies
and TV portray are staggering. Even though the highest grossing pictures
this past year were rated PG, the demand grows but where is the supply? We
have found a wonderful way to reach many people in a positive manner through
the “168 Hour Film Project.” This is why we are writing you.
Elysian Pictures is excited to be involved
in a project where the goal is to bring together passionate filmmakers to
create high-caliber, value-based films that will be seen by audiences
across the nation and world. You can read more on the 168 at:

“Chasing Contentment”

“Chasing Contentment”
was presented a Silver Certificate from the 168 Hour Film Festival (2004).
The concept of the “168” is to give each
production team a moral theme from the Bible and 168 hours (one week) to
write, produce and edit a 10 minute short film. These films are designed to
contain strong moral values. The films are screened in a festival style and
judged by top industry professionals, many of who work for major Hollywood
studios. The top films are then distributed on VHS & DVD nationally.
We
are inviting you to help Elysian Pictures’ production.
Our team is geared up to create a film of cinematic excellence with a
dynamic and impacting storyline. Our film will compete in this year’s 168
Hour Film competition and will be entered in many film festivals. We need
your help.
Our core need is financial support.
We need to raise at least $4,000 to complete a film of excellence. With
your donation, we will be able to produce a quality film that will reach
countless people across the world. Please know that 100% of your donation
will go towards the production of our film such as: tools, equipment,
materials, craft services and staff needed for a successful short film.
For your donation, you will
receive a credit on our film, website, IMDb and copy of the final DVD.
For more information on funding participation, see
www.HollywoodFunding.com/168.html.
In the three years since its inception,
entries into the 168 Hour Festival have grown over 400%. It is now one of
the fastest growing festivals in the nation. Films from last year’s festival
have gone on to win additional awards across the world. Due to the quality
of the films, the entertainment industry has taken notice of the 168 and the
possibilities are exciting. We invite you to be involved in this exciting
adventure. Include your email in the return envelope or email
jenn@elysianpictures.com for film updates.
Production updates and screening locations
will be posted at
